Program App, Sign-in, and Trip Operations
When you use our secured program web app (students, faculty, or tour staff), we process additional data as needed to deliver itineraries, notifications, and program-scoped tools.
- Clerk — We use Clerk to sign you in to secured pages and the app. Clerk processes authentication data (such as your email address and session information) as described in Clerk's Privacy Policy.
- Program identification — We determine which program itinerary and settings apply to your account using your email domain and, where configured, explicit program assignments on your profile.
- Optional push notifications — If you opt in, we store a technical subscription token with our hosting provider (Netlify Blobs) so we can send program-related trip updates to your device. This is separate from marketing email. You can withdraw consent by disabling notifications in the app or in your browser or device settings.
- Google Sheets (itinerary content) — Our team maintains itineraries in Google Sheets. Data shown in the app is synced via automated services. We keep sheet content focused on trip logistics and avoid placing unnecessary personal data in fields exposed to the app where possible.
How Long We Store Personal Data
Purpose Travel B.V. (operating as Sport Study Abroad) does not store your personal data longer than strictly necessary to achieve the purposes for which your data is collected. We retain your data only as long as needed for the purposes described in this policy, or as required by law. Technical records such as push subscription tokens are removed when you unsubscribe or when they are no longer valid, and are not kept longer than needed to deliver program notifications.
Sharing Personal Data with Third Parties
Purpose Travel B.V. (operating as Sport Study Abroad) only provides data to third parties if this is necessary for the execution of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation.

- Clerk (authentication for secured pages and the program app)
- Google (Google Workspace / Google Sheets where used to author or sync itinerary content)
- Calendly (for scheduling appointments)

These providers process your data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
